Woo Hoo - 2009!

Woo Hoo - 2009 is here.

I have mixed feelings about 2009. It is the start of a new year which means in my mind I can start a fresh - however there is also a tinge of sadness in my mind as I am turning 30, which is not a big deal in itself, I mean I don't need botox or anything yet LOL - HOWEVER it just means that things are really moving along and I really need to get my act together. I guess that it just makes me feel a little pressured.

It's not like there is anything BAD about being old I guess - it is just so grand being YOUNG. The problem is when you are young, well this is with me anyway - I just did not realise how good it was to be young and I wasted sooo much time. The nature of the beast hey! - when you are young you want to be old, and when you are old you want to be young.

Looking back, and forward I guess...you should don't try and be what you are not and "Live in the moment". Only then will you make the most of what you have at the time.

I wish I would have done more in my 20s....I was too committed, too nice/slow/complacent/always wanted better/whinged all the time - however funnily enough I was just talking to my workmates about some of the hollidays that I have had, and I guess that I have had some amazing moments.

Anyways, I am bleeting on - so peace out.

Yes you can can.....

Nail Polish.....I love manicured nails. I am over my obsession with acrylics or gels THANK GOODNESS!. My fav colour of choice at the moment is a dark colour from the OPI range called Yes I Can Can - it's a part of OPIs French collection - and I have to tell you that I am in love with most things related to Francias...including this shimmering colour.

When I say dark, I do not mean black. It is a deep, deep a jewelled shade of eggplant - with a subtle hint of shimmer that really makes your nails shine (without looking like $2 glitter polish, I mean shimmer in a classy way - they actually say it looks like a 'swirl of cinnamon' YUM). It does not make fair'ish skin look ruddy (as I have fair'ish skin) and it looks MAD on Asian skin, as one of my friends wears it and it looks way better on her than me....

"Great for a night look".....very chic, classy and elegant.

So - if you like the dark nail look - however do not want to try black - or navy blue, try something a little more on the classy/elegant side and slick on some hot polish...Yes You Can Can.....

Study Woes....

Firstly, I have no idea why my post initially would only let me compose in Hindi. Not that I have anything against Hindi, and it looks beautifully artful - but I don't understand it!?! LOL.

So, my thought that I want to share today are: I have no idea why I procrastinate so much about completing my masters assignments. Note to self: Must plan in advance to avoid near heart failure. I always seem to pull something good out of goodness knows where - the adrenalin definitely helps with performance, but it adversely affects my mental health ;o) LOL.

My week is going to be crazy..study, work, sick partner.

Anyways - enough of the woe is me. Back to work and organising my Study...

Leopard Print Ballet Flats

I have recently been inspired by my very stylish friend MN who is a minimalist when it comes to her wardrobe, but invests wisely in the most stylish beautiful items hence always looks so polished and elegant no matter where she goes. She can also afford to buy Hermes cuffs, Bright Bally belts, Classic Cream Prada bags and divine Gold Studded Cream LV belts, because she does not spend her money on every cheap look-a-like 'trend' item that takes her fancy.

I've started doing my best to take her lead and have been wearing the most comfortable pair of leopard print flats to work whilst mixing and matching with corporate and smart casual items (this is just the start by the way, a small start - yet a good start).....anyways - I received a compliment about my flats today from a trendy gal @ work, and she told me that she is after a classic pair of ballet flats in Leopard print, but just can't find a decent pair anywhere.

I will share my advice I gave to her. The most gorgeous, classic pair of ballet flats in Leopard Print around, do not come cheap - but are worth it as you will wear again and again. Although some places in Aus do stock them - you can also buy on line and are called FRENCH SOLE. Check out their website: http://www.frenchsole.com/. I am in ballet flat luuuuurve x
